After soooo many months percolating in process, sooo many samples, sooo many rethinks, you can finally purchase the pattern that you will make and remake and make again til you put me out of business (you’ll never need another top pattern, what have I done?? I’ve created a monster!)
Okay so the metaphors are mixed at best and sort of never worked from the start but I’m feeling silly and excited!!! Can you believe there’s finally a new pattern after like ten months?! I almost can’t.
Since my first sample, this has been my most worn pattern to date, I find it so comfortable and inspiring and I keep having new ideas for it! I’d been wanting something simple with a comfy and slightly sexy fit that can be worked up quite painlessly and be a great base for embroidery, and I think it really worked out!
The test knit was one of the most chill ever with so few issues and so many lovely projects that I can’t wait to share with you on instagram- I feel so happy with how the pattern works for different bodies and I am really excited to see even more people putting their unique mark on it and using up their waste in a creative and exciting way.
I love scrapbusting projects but I feel like the market for mini scrappy multicoloured textural ones is getting a little saturated and I wanted to answer the question ‘yes but what about these bigger lengths I’m left with?’ and come up with something tidy and intentional looking that’s still improvisational.
The top is started bottom-up in the round with optional bust-darts and then worked flat for the front and back before working the (optional) sleeves in the round. There are two collar options, but you can always just work a simple ribbed collar if you want. It’s fingering-weight so the fabric is really comfy, and the length is a hint longer than ones I’ve made in the past- I think you’ll love it but if you need more info please just click through to the ravelry or website listings!
